What I Love to Draw / My Boundaries

I'm absolutely in love with:
  • Drawing deep emotions and getting into a character's story
  • Showing the love and subtle connection between characters
  • Exploring different character looks and expressing their feelings. It's a joy for me!
  • I'm also totally open to "comic-vibe" scenes with speech bubbles or sound effects hehe
What I usually draw:
  • Mostly people and fantasy characters.
  • I'm open to including animals in the composition
  • I haven't drawn furries or robots yet, so I'm not sure about those, haha
A quick and important note:
Due to the laws in my country banning LGBT-themed content, I've had to step away from it to reduce anxiety in my life. I truly hope you understand 🤧 I am, however, very open to drawing scenes with a close, friendly bond between characters

What I don't draw:
  • I don't depict intimate body parts openly, but I'm comfortable with sensual scenes that are veiled and subtle.
  • I don't draw scenes of violence or similar themes.

About backgrounds:
  • The final price for a background is quite situational and can be adjusted to your budget~ I also offer two types of detailed backgrounds: with 3D elements and without 🍃
  • To speed up the comic creation process, I often use a hybrid technique. I utilize 3D models purchased from ACON3D (with a commercial license), which I combine and adapt in SketchUp to build complex scenes. Suitable 3D models simply don't exist for every imaginable scene (for example, a specific shot of Minori by the sea, which you can see in the examples below).
  • The 3D base is almost always just the starting point. The last two examples in the slideshow below were created using 3D objects as a foundation, but then they were heavily painted over and integrated with 2D art to achieve the final look (they are not 100% 3D renders)
  • So, while this tool speeds up the initial setup, it still requires significant time for customization, rendering, and especially for painting and blending it into the final illustration 🏞

How to Order & Contact Me

The best way to get in touch: Send me a DM on Instagram! I pin chats with my commissioners, so I can always find our conversation easily and get back to you quickly~ Another option is Telegram!
The most convenient way to organize your idea: A Google Document. It's a single, central place for everything, and it's easy to return to at any time to reread your notes and wishes. If you don't know how to use it - it's okay! You can send all your ideas directly in the chat and that's totally fine too!

What you can include in your Google Doc to help me understand your vision:

  • A text description of your overall idea for the scene.
  • The desired format (e.g., bust, half-body, full-body).
  • Reference images for the pose you have in mind (Pinterest is a great source for this!).
  • Reference sheets/images of your character(s).
  • A description of the background you'd like.
Once I have all this information, I will calculate the total price for you!

You can send me a DM on Instagram that looks something like this:
"Hello! I'd like to order a waist-up commission. Could you please tell me the estimated completion time? Here is my idea and my character references: [link to your Google Doc]"

Commission Process:

Step-by-Step

First Talk: We start by discussing your idea and agreeing on the work timeline. Please read my work rules (you can find them at the end of this website or on menu)

Sketches: In a few days, I begin working on sketches.
  • If your idea is clear, I make 1-2 sketches.
  • If you are not sure about the pose or view, I make 2-3 sketch options to choose from. This is usually enough to find the best solution together.

Payment

  • After you approve the final sketch, you make the full prepayment.
  • Payment is made as a 'donation' through LavaTop platform
  • After I receive payment, I add you to my list of commissioners~
  • If you want to save your place early, you can pay right after we agree on the timeline (even before sketches)

Payment via lava-top:
1. Starting the Drawing & Detailed Sketch
As promised, I will message you when I start working on your drawing. I might ask some extra questions or send you the detailed sketch.
  • At this stage: The main pose cannot be changed completely. But you can ask to adjust small details. Here's what can be adjusted: finger positions, open/closed eyes, hairstyle shape, clothes, general proportions (make a guy taller, a hand smaller, etc.).
  • You can ask to change a specific detail up to 2 times (something like: make a skirt longer/shorter, change the hairstyle based on a new reference, make a nose bigger/smaller)
2. Line Art & Base Colors
  • I often send the line art together with the flat colors so you can see how the illustration looks
  • At this stage: You can change color shades and the colors of the clothes. Big details like the pose and outfit are fixed and cannot be changed
3. Finishing the Art (Shadows, Lighting, Textures)
  • I send you the stage where I add shadows, textures, and lighting. Now you can see the full atmosphere and mood of the illustration.
  • At this stage: Usually, almost nothing is changed. You can make small adjustments to shades or give wishes about the lighting.
4. Final Step & Delivery
  • We look at the final result. (At this stage, there's usually a bit more rendering and hair detailing) We can still adjust the overall color tone or the amount of blur.
  • Once you confirm that everything looks good, I will send you the JPG/PSD files by email.
  • The commission is considered complete! 🥰
A quick note about edits after delivery:
  • I can only make edits after sending the final file if we both missed a small detail that needs to be added (like an earring, a scar, or a tattoo)

Terms of Service📝

Work Timeline & Queue:
The active work on your piece takes up to 2 months. The start date depends on the existing commission schedule. I'm always happy to provide an estimate of when your spot in the queue will come up!
Edits:
The number and type of possible edits at each stage are described in the "Commission Process" section.
Payment:
100% prepayment after you approve the sketch (I provide 1-3 sketch options).
A little about sketches:
Sketches before payment are rough drafts that show the pose, angle, and general placement of elements. This helps make sure we both imagine the future composition in the same way. (Sometimes I get carried away and add some shadows, but this isn't mandatory, especially if there are more than two sketches)

For Our Peace of Mind 🤍

(Life can be unpredictable, and people are different, so I'd like to outline solutions for various situations for our mutual comfort).

Unexpected Events:
In case of a major unforeseen situation (like war, serious illness, loss of a loved one, or all my devices breaking – knock on wood this never happens!), I will warn you as soon as I can. Timelines may shift, but I will do my absolute best to finish your artwork as soon as possible.

If My Instagram Gets Blocked:
I've seen waves of account blocks sometimes. If we lose contact, please message me on Twitter or Telegram so we can continue our discussion!

Creative Differences & Edits:
If, after the sketch is approved, we seriously disagree on the direction, or I receive a large number of unclear edits that don't match the work stage, I may not complete the artwork. In this case, I will refund you the amount, minus the 8% LavaTop platform commission (unfortunately, there are no other ways to send money from my country right now). If the line art and flat colors have already been sent, the refund will be 50% of the commission cost.

Disrespectful Behavior:
In case of repeated insults or rude remarks, I may refuse the commission and refund 70% of the amount (or 50% if line art and flat colors have already been sent), minus the platform commission.

Change of Mind / Urgent Need for a Refund:
Since payment occurs after the sketch work, a refund of 70% of the amount is possible, considering the platform's commission.

Long Silence (>1 month):
If you don't reply for more than a month, I will move on to the next commission in my queue. Your completion date will be shifted by the timeline of the next customer (about 2 months). (This repeats every month of silence).

  • Thankfully, I've never faced such situations! Conversations usually flow very comfortably and even joyfully. But I've heard about them from other artists, so I wanted to mention this for our mutual confidence and clarity!

  • If you have any other questions, feel free to ask me – I'll be happy to answer! 💌
